ZIRO PLA Multi-Color Stripes – Silk

ZIRO Multi-Color Stripes Silk is a 1.75mm PLA filament made by taking a tri-color co-extruded strand and twisting it during spooling. When printed, this twist produces tight, striated color bands across the surface of your model — a noticeably faster and sharper color transition than standard gradient or rainbow filaments.

The filament has a matte finish that reduces surface glare and helps minimize the appearance of layer lines. Dimensional tolerance is held to +/- 0.03mm, which supports consistent extrusion and keeps the color banding even and predictable across the height of a print.

Because the base material is PLA, it works on nearly all FDM printers without special handling. It prints with low warp, adheres well to common bed surfaces, and delivers strong inter-layer bonding. Recommended nozzle temperature is 190–220°C and bed temperature is 50–65°C, with moderate print speeds of 40–60mm/s for best results.

The striped effect is most visible on curved surfaces and geometrically complex models. It suits projects such as vases, busts, geometric forms, and toys where bold color variation is wanted from a single filament without a multi-extruder setup.
